Haldex Gen 4 Service Kit

I have previously fitted a new Haldex filter, which I bought from a U.K. supplier five years ago. Whereas, the service kit from Vagparts, will be fitted early in the New Year 2023, It does contain all parts needed for the filter change, plus the replacement O'ring seals for the pump body. There is a plastic gauze/filter on the end of the pump body that needs checking and possibly cleaning. This part can become clogged causing the pump to fail.
The communication, service and delivery time from Vagparts are all first class. Thank you!

Paul and the Team at VAGPARTS were very helpful with information prior to ordering the parts to provide advice to confirm they were the correct parts for my VW R36. Even though some parts were on back-order when I placed the order, the whole order still arrived less than a week after I placed the order. Gen 4 Haldex is the second latest generation Haldex fitting most Volkswagen / Audi vehicles from 2008 - 2014. This is the version before MQB so if your engine is EA113 or gen 1 / 2 EA888 you most likely have Gen 4. Common generations such as 8P, 8J, MK5, MK6 & Passat R32. 

Use 2008.5+ to 2014 as a guideline.

    Service & Maintenance Guide

    Minor Service - Oil Service

    Every 10k is a minor service - oil and filter. Do not follow the factory 15K and go 7k for tuned vehicles. Oil is cheap, engines are not!

    Intermediate Service

    Every 30k is an intermediate service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, brake fluid flush, remote batteries.

    Major Service

    Every 60k is a major service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, remote batteries, brake fluid flush, fuel filter, DSG gearbox oil and filter (unless automatic, manual, tiptronic or multitronic), spark plugs and haldex oil.

    Additional: Water pump & timing belt and poly belt on belt driven engines should be done every 60k.

    Intermediate Service

    Every 90k is another intermediate service - same as 30k plus a poly belt / accessory belt.

    Replace Haldex fluid every 30k rather than 60k, Gearbox oil change at 40k for DSG is advised. Front and rear differential oils are "longlife" but replace every 60k to be safe.
