THERMAL MANAGEMENT SAFETY STRATEGIES:

With increased power, comes increased heat. With increased heat, comes the need for additional management. For charge air temperature, 034Motorsport has implemented key safety features to keep your engine running optimally and safely in virtually any condition - just like the OEM calibration. Substantial effort was spent on balancing the trade off of charge temp for power, and improving the compressor efficiency so that it doesn't generate too much charge temp.

Charge Air Temp: When the charge temp exceeds 70*C there is a reduction in power output. When the charge temp exceeds 80*C there is a more significant reduction in power output. This charge temp limitation is there to prevent knock events, which can severely damage a motor. With these safety measures in place, you can confidently drive your car, from the top of Pikes Peak to Death Valley, knowing the factory ECU has optimal performance and safety covered.

Oil Temperature: When oil temperatures exceed 130*C there is a reduction in power output. When the oil temperature exceeds 135*C there is a more significant reduction in power output. This oil temperature limitation is there to limit oil temperatures from climbing to unsafe levels which can damage a motor. With these safety measures in place, you can confidently drive your car under high sustained loads, such as track driving or towing, knowing the factory ECU has optimal performance and safety covered.

FUEL SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION:

While E85 provides substantial increases in power, it requires about 30% more fuel than standard pump gasoline per ignition cycle. Utilizing a variety of fuel stratified injection strategies, 034Motorsport calibrators have further optimized the factory fuelling system to be able to adequately support full E85 on factory hardware for Stage 1.

ADVANCED BOOST CONTROL STRATEGIES

From sea level to 6,000+ ft elevation in the Rocky Mountains, to below freezing and over 100° Fahrenheit, Dynamic+ employs advanced boost control and safety strategies to ensure that your IS12 equipped EA888.3 1.8T is consistently reliable, regardless of the conditions! These advanced boost control calibration strategies ensure that your turbocharger stays within its safe operating range and generating consistent boost levels, while preventing premature failure, especially when your vehicle is in less than ideal environments.

FREE REVVING IN NEUTRAL AND PARK

The rev-limiter is now removed while in Neutral and Park. Impress friends and annoy those around you with limitless ease!

LAUNCH CONTROL OPTIMIZATIONS FOR DQ250 EQUIPPED VEHICLES:

034Motorsport’s skilled Calibration team has properly engineered and implemented an advanced motorsport derived strategy for building boost during launch control. Dynamic+ Calibrations allow for launch control to build boost more quickly and efficiently as opposed to the factory calibration without damaging the turbocharger.

Flashed directly through your vehicle’s OBD-II port, 034Motorsport’s proprietary calibrations for the DQ250 TCU safely and effectively optimize its operation for Stage 1 Dynamic+ Performance ECU Software. The DQ250 6-Speed DSG transmission is found in the MK7/7.5 Volkswagen Golf, Sportwagen, Alltrack, & 8V Audi A3 1.8T. 034Motorsport Performance DSG Software also increases the shift speed and optimizes the shift points in Drive and Sport modes for better performance and driveability. 034Motorsport Stage 1 Performance Software for the EA888 Gen 3 1.8T engine running pump gas or ethanol is engineered to safely increase the horsepower and torque with no additional hardware required.

In addition to power improvements, 034Motorsport's engineers spent a significant amount of time refining the throttle mapping in order to provide improved throttle response and allow for more precise throttle modulation and further control of the vehicle when driving on track. Due to the limitations of the stock turbocharger on the EA888 Gen 3 1.8T, the rev limiter was not adjusted.

A: We will EXPRESS post the cable and start a tuning order for you.

2. From the minute your order is processed on the VAGParts website, you can expect a 1-3 business day fulfillment time to receive your download links and username from the 034 Motorsport tuning team. Please be on the lookout for this email, which will come from the email address "tuning@034motorsport.com" 

Q: What is in the introductory email?

A: This is an email from 034Motorsport which includes the username for your account, a link to download the flashing software and the Getting Started user manual.

Q: I haven't got my introductory email

A: You may have to wait 1-3 business days to receive this email from the 034Motorsport team. Please also check your spam, updates, and other email tabs for the email from 034Motorsport. If it still hasn't come after a couple of days please contact VAGPARTS. Please note weekends are not working days.

Q: What do I need to tune my vehicle with a laptop?

A: Windows 10/11 laptop, strong/stable internet connection, Dynamic+ flashing cable, a 20-amp battery supply charger/maintaner, and tuning account access.

2. Please download the 034 flashing client if you haven't already, and review the Getting Started guide. You'll need to register your username on 034 Motorsport's server, by inputting your username/email address in the applicable field, and clicking the "Forgot/Reset Password" link. This will send an email to you that will allow you to set your own password, which you'll need to use to log into the flashing client software. Once you are logged into the flashing client, please click on the controller that you wish to program (either ECU - engine, or TCU - transmission) and proceed through the steps listed in the "Getting Started" guide to flash that controller. The files labeled "Stock" are completely OEM software calibrations, as you would have received from the factory, so please only flash these if you wish to go back to stock tuning.

Q: How hard is the flashing process?

A: This is NOT a difficult process. If you have the ability to open and email and send an email, this is the same level of computer literacy needed.

Q: How long does the flashing process take?

A: The total time to tune the car is around 30 mins. Flashing between files, upgrading and so on once you have done the first installation is a couple of minutes.

A: You may need to flash your car back to stock. You can do this by flashing the car to stock using the 034Motorsport flashing portal.

Q: Do I have to flash my ECU and TCU?

A: Yes, these are separate control units and need to be individually flashed.

Q: What is 91 AKI and 93 AKI? RON to AKI?

A: 91AKI is 95 RON and 93 AKI is 98 RON. When flashing select the file appropriate to the fuel octane you are using.

Q: How long do I have to wait for my tuning introductory email?

A: 48 hours or 2 working days

Q: How long do I have for wait for my tuning files?

A: Please allow 72 hours or 3 working days for fulfilment

Q: What is the normal turn around for the entire process?
